I believe that the only thing good about ‘good intentions’ is that it is a place to start to change. Without thinking of doing something, you don’t do it. But that is ALL that is good about ‘good intentions’. I meant to exercise today, or I meant to wash my clothes, or I really intended of putting together my resume today….. you know how it is. So what! You didn’t do it and it is not done and therefore it didn’t happen. You are not better off than yesterday.
But (excuse), I am just not sure how to start or I don’t have the correct exercise equipment. Well start somewhere. The alphabet starts with the letter A, the the dress starts with one stitch, the book starts with page 1. Everything has a beginning. So start and then proceed; start anywhere. The point is that you begin. As several of my blogs have already indicated, come up with action steps to your plan.
Example: I want to redo my resume.
Step 1: Write down where you have worked with dates and salaries.
Step 2: Write down what you did at those jobs (skills)
Step 3: Write down why you left….. etc.
Step 4: Write down your education with dates and schools
Then put it all together. Done!
But your good intentions did not change a thing, your actions did.
So let’s look at changing your life in other areas. What do you want to change? What steps would you take? What are the reasons that you are NOT taking those steps? This is where energy work comes in and looking at your blocks. I am not speaking of labeling these blocks or even understanding why you have these blocks, I am speaking about getting above these blocks so that they no longer pertain to you. You become an aware person who makes choices rather than a person imprisoned by your past. Ready for a change?
